Hotel Martelli - Florence

* Historic building charm, spacious room, friendly breakfast staff

Liked the classic double room with wifi, and amazing location right in the center of Florence. There was plenty of food for breakfast, including coffee, butter and boiled eggs. The hotel was located in the middle of the city.

Hotel Martelli is a charming place with a fantastic location, just minutes from the Duomo and other major attractions. The room was comfortable, the air conditioning worked quietly, and the breakfast included a lovely selection of pastries and fresh fruit served by friendly staff.

The location was perfect, just minutes from the main attractions. The comfortable room and impeccably clean bathroom were good, but the breakfast left a bit to be desired. Friendly staff rounded out the experience.

Liked it. We were pleased to find big and huge rooms at this small hotel. The selection of good croissants, cereal, pastries, yogurt and fruit was a bonus. The breakfast was satisfactory, the check in was quick.

Navigating the maze of hallways can feel like a quest of its own, and the rooms are on the smaller side, lacking some expected modern amenities. Breakfast options are limited, and the shower setup is particularly problematic. A curtain instead of doors and a shower head that won't stay upright. The luggage storage area lacks adequate security and space for larger bags.

location of the hotel is great, just a few minutes from the duomo, so it is very comfortable to move around on foot. staff was very friendly throughout our stay. rooms have refrigerators, are large, mattress and pillows were very comfortable and bathroom is spacious (also has towels, gel and shampoo). Our room was cleaned every day and breakfast, is also included, is perfect for short stays. They do not have much variety and perhaps they would lack a toaster, in general everything is very correct (you have cereals, milk, coffee, juices-although not natural-, croissants, rolls with which to make a mini sandwich of ham and cheese). I recommend it 100%.

We were in room 59, just past the breakfast room, with the only door (as far as we could see in the hotel) badly insulated (you could see that it did not touch the floor and there was a thread of separation between the door and frame) so the noises in the morning (especially because of the bad manners of the guests who were shouting at each other to go to breakfast) were constant
